Biography

Abinesh Selvacanabady joined PNNL in 2013 as an Energy Efficiency Research Engineer. He supports the development of federal energy efficiency standards for the Appliance and Commercial Equipment Standards (ACES) program and performance standards for the Building Energy Codes Program. Prior to joining PNNL, Abinesh was employed as an energy efficiency engineer at a consulting firm where he led the engineering efforts for the energy efficiency implementation in dairy farms and supported energy efficiency and retrocommissioning (RCx) programs for schools and wineries. He developed the analytics engine for an automated "Interval Data Analysis Tool" that used inverse-modeling, time series comparison, and statistical regression techniques to disaggregate demand and diagnose end-use system control issues. His combined energy industry experience includes energy assessments for agricultural, medium and large scale industrial, commercial and residential facilities, targeted energy software development, building code compliance testing, energy simulation and modeling, demand side management, and economic and feasibility analysis for renewable energy systems.
